I was able to visit Ghana while working aboard the MV Explorer, host to the Semester-at-Sea program, for their Spring 2012 semester. While we were there I was able to take part of a day to see the capital city of Accra and a full day trip to a couple of the slave castles and fishing villages along the coast. I was also able to see a local maternal and child health facility.
