Katmai National Park is a remote Alaskan park famous for its bears and volcanic activity. Brooks Falls is one of the famous bear-viewing areas in Alaska, where people come to watch the bears catch salmon as they try to jump the falls. I missed the salmon run, so the males that do that were gone, but the mothers and their cubs came to clean up what was left. I have also visited Geographic Bay, while working on the Spirt of Oceanus.
