Bodie, pronounced like Body, is an old mining ghost town that is now protected in its ruin as a state park. I got there late in the day and only had an hour to see it and unfortunately had to leave before I was done seeing it all. That was an out of Bodie experience. But I did go back the next day for another hour. And I have been back since. It is a very interesting place, just a bit north of Mono Lake.
